FEED: A Garden Soundscape

Tommy Pico
Date and Time:
April 21, 2018 (All day)
Event Location:
The High Line
Admission:
Free and open to the public

Brooklyn-based poet Tommy Pico, originally from the Viejas Indian reservation of the Kumeyaay nation, walks you through the High Line gardens in this interactive soundscape. A part of Culture Shock, the High Line season kick-off, this Whiting Award winner's audio tour shares stories, memories, and secrets of what the gardens’ microclimates evoke for him. Sparklers on July 4th, mom’s wisdom, and the Cranberries intertwine in a tale of love and heartache, city and nature.

FEED can be experienced as you walk from the Gansevoort Woodlands to the Railyards, sitting at your favorite spot on the park, or even off the High Line. It will be available to download on April 21st at thehighline.org and was created by Tommy Pico.
