Literary Partners Program: Silent Beaches, Untold Stories

A reading to mark the launch of SILENT BEACHES, UNTOLD STORIES: NEW YORK CITY'S FORGOTTEN WATERFRONT. The book by Elizabeth Albert with literary editing by Underwater New York collects historical narratives, archival images, contemporary art, and new fiction and poetry about ten lesser known waterways. Contributors Bill Cheng, Elizabeth Gaffney, Ben Greenman, and Nicole Miller will read.

Literary Partners Program: Zentripetal: Where Words Leave Off, Music Begins Again

A concert of new poetry-inspired music for the instrumental voices of violin and cello. Compositions by Louis Andriessen, Lynn Bechtold, Matthew Browne, Jennifer DeVore, John King, Lawrence Kramer, and Augusta Reade Thomas. Hailed as a "dynamic duo" by Classics Today, "oustanding" by Pizzicato Journal, and "close to the edge and impressive" by Strings magazine, Zentripetal made its debut in 2006.
