On Monday, June 12, 6:30pm, Billy Collins, Sharon Olds, Gregory Pardlo and special guest Bill Murray read classic New York City-inspired poems in the beloved Poets House tradition as we trek en masse from Manhattan to Brooklyn. At Jane’s Carousel on the Brooklyn shore, Sharon Olds reads “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry,” Walt Whitman’s love letter to NYC. A festive dinner and more readings follow.

This rare gathering of poets and poetry lovers is Poets House’s annual benefit, which supports all that we do. This year we honor Frank Platt and Bill Murray with the Elizabeth Kray Award for their help in building Poets House, and Claudia Rankine, for her service to poetry.

The 2017 Poetry Walk launches the 30th Anniversary of Poets House. In celebration, all contributors to the Poetry Walk will be listed in the commemorative program booklet. Contribute Now!
