Announcing the Search for a New Executive Director
The Board of Directors of Poets House has announced the opening of a national search for Executive Director.
Martín Gómez, former Director of the Brooklyn Public Library and the Los Angeles Public Library, who has rejoined the Poets House Board as Treasurer, will lead the search committee to fill this role. A listening campaign currently taking place with the poetry community will inform the candidate selection process and final interviews for the position.
Poets House seeks a visionary executive with the passion, skills, and drive to successfully lead, refine, and define value and impact for library users and the wider poetic communities. The successful candidate will be an inclusive, thoughtful, dynamic leader who values and promotes the organization’s rich history and mission, as well as a person who can leverage their knowledge of the field, business acumen, people management skills, and strategic vision for the benefit of all who engage with Poets House. This is a remarkable opportunity for an individual who wishes to use their high-level management and development skills as a creative force in facilitating the long-range growth and sustainability of a beloved literary organization.
