Celebrated Filipino American poet and novelist R. Zamora Linmark discusses hybridity and song in Hawaiian ballad traditions. Linmark intersperses the lecture with Hawaiian Pidgin poems by Lois-Ann Yamanaka and other Hawaiian voices, concluding with his appropriation of a Federico García Lorca ballad, sung in rounds.
