Jade Yeung and Jordan E. Franklin

Emerging Brooklyn poets Jade Yeung and Jordan E. Franklin read their work and join host Patricia Spears Jones for a discussion of craft, fun, and influences.

Jade Yeung is a Toishanese American writer and artist from Brooklyn, NY. Their chapbook, ANTI, is published with Black Warrior Review. They have received support from Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Community of Writers, and Fine Arts Work Center. Jade has appeared in Honey LiteraryQueen Mob’s TeahouseKissing Dynamite, and elsewhere. They received their MFA from Rutgers University-Newark where they were a Trustee Fellow.

Jordan E. Franklin is a poet and educator from Brooklyn, NY. Jordan is the author of the full-length poetry collection, when the signals come home, and the chapbook, boys in the electric age. Her work has appeared in the Southampton Review, Breadcrumbs, Frontier, Tinderbox Poetry Journal and elsewhere. She is the winner of the 2017 James Hearst Poetry Prize and the 2020 Gatewood Prize.
