The axis on which I turn
In this experimental and generative workshop, we will look at work by artists Etel Adnan, Cecilia Vicuña and Marcus Leslie Singleton. We will work our way through a series of cumulative and connected prompts, each expansive enough to let you enter in several different ways. Through trials and slow accretion, we will cobble together fragments to see what new poems are possible to write. In the end you will leave with a new poem or pieces of several poems—enough kernels so that you can continue working with this material.
3 hours on Thursday | June 8 | 6-9pm ET | $120 ($96 for Members)
All are welcome, space is limited. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available. Please email support@poetshouse.org with any questions.
About the educator:
While our physical space is closed for construction, workshops will be held over Zoom. While you can use Zoom from your phone or browser, we recommend downloading the desktop client.
