A beloved teacher and presence in the poetry world, William Matthews (1942-1997) published eleven books of poetry during his lifetime, including Time & Money, Selected Poems and Translations 1969-1991, Blues If You Want, A Happy Childhood, as well as the essay collection Curiosities. After All: Last Poems was published posthumously in 1998 and Search Party: Collected Poems was just released this year.
Hosted by Sebastian Matthews, with Russell Banks, Daniel Halpern, A. Van Jordan, Galway Kinnell, Sharon Olds, Patrick Phillips, Stanley Plumly, Gerald Stern and Chase Twichell. Featuring a reading of Search Party: Collected Poems of William Matthews and In My Father’s Footsteps, a memoir by Sebastian Matthews.
