Literary Partners Program: An Afternoon of Poetry with Noemi Press and Virginia Tech MFA Program Faculty

Noemi Press publisher and Virginia Tech MFA faculty Carmen Giménez Smith, with Noemi Press authors E. G. Asher and Natalie Eilbert, and Virginia Tech MFA program director Erika Meitner, will be reading poems from their latest books. Carmen Giménez Smith is a CantoMundo fellow, co-editor of poetry for The Nation, and the author of a memoir and six poetry collections, including Cruel Futures (City Lights, 2018) and the forthcoming Be Recorder (Graywolf, 2019). E. G. Asher is the author of Natality (Noemi Press, 2017), was a Stadler Fellow at Bucknell University, and is currently a PhD candidate at NYU in English Literature, Jewish Studies, and Trans Studies. Natalie Eilbert is the author of Indictus (Noemi Press, 2018) and Swan Feast (Bloof Books, 2015), was a Jay C. and Ruth Halls Poetry Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is the founding editor of The Atlas Review. Erika Meitner is the author of five books of poems, including Holy Moly Carry Me (BOA Editions, 2018) and Ideal Cities (Harper Perennial, 2010), which was a 2009 National Poetry Series winner.
