Literary Partners Program: Drew University’s MFA Program presents Alicia Ostriker and Theo Dorgan with students and alumni

Poets Alicia Ostriker and Theo Dorgan will read from their work along with students and alumni from Drew University’s MFA program. A reception will follow, where you’ll have an opportunity to meet the poets and enjoy some light refreshments. Come out for an evening of excellent poetry and to learn more about and support our MFA program!

Alicia Ostriker has published fifteen volumes of poetry, most recently The Old Woman, the Tulip, and the Dog. Her poetry has appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry, American Poetry Review, The Atlantic, Paris Review, Yale Review, Ontario Review, The Nation, and many other journals and anthologies. Twice a National Book Award finalist, she
has also received awards from the Guggenheim and Rockefeller Foundations, the Poetry Society of America, the San Francisco Poetry Center, and the Paterson Poetry Center. Ostriker lives in Princeton, NJ, and is Professor Emerita of English at Rutgers University.
Theo Dorgan is a poet, novelist, translator, editor, librettist, documentary screenwriter and non-fiction prose author. Among his awards, the most recent is the O’Shaughnessy Award for Irish Poetry. He is the author of five collections of poetry, most recently Making Way. Dorgan was elected to Aosdána, the Irish academy of the arts, in 1999, and has served on the Arts Council. He lives in Dublin.
