Literary Partners Program: Resonating Bodies: Music for Voice and Strings

Please join soprano Sharon Harms and the musicians of Zentripetal (Lynn Bechtold, violin and Jennifer DeVore, cello) for an afternoon of poetry and music.

Six New York composers—Dan Cooper, Daniel Felsenfeld, Lawrence Kramer, Earl Maneein, Milica Paranosic, and Gene Pritzger—have written adventurous new pieces to explore the colors and textures, the freewheeling energy and poignant lyricism, made available in duos and trios for voice, cello, and violin, featuring poetry by Mario de Andrade, Robert Frost, Lawrence Kramer, David Herbert Lawrence, Edward Simpson and John Greenleaf Whittier.
