M is Black Enough: An evening of music and poetry

Join us to experience an evening of music and poetry with M is Black Enough, a collaborative who exercise spirited conversation and debate through steelpan, cello and text / voice. Cellist Jeffrey Zeigler, of Kronos Quartet fame, teams up with composer and percussionist Andy Akiho, poet Roger Bonair-Agard, and drummer Sean Dixon for a work-in-progress program of spoken word and music.

Co-presented by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and Poets House as part of the River To River Festival 2016. A Lower Manhattan Cultural Council public engagement initiative, River To River inspires residents, workers, and visitors in Lower Manhattan, by connecting them to artists, new ideas and perspectives, and other art-lovers to demonstrate the role that artists play in creating vibrant, sustainable communities.
