Master Class with Fanny Howe: Childhood Days
Dec 7, 2019 | 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Event Navigation

Saturday & Sunday
We will listen to children’s stories read aloud and discuss myth and memory. We will read poems about childhood—Rilke, Rimbaud, and the moderns—and discuss ourselves, our sources, and the future. The urban childhood—rich or poor—the country childhood, and the suburban childhood in all its alienation: symbols and metaphors homegrown. We will listen to poems each person provides and think of them in relation to the subject of childhood: how it continues to influence our poetry and our lives.
Class Dates:
Saturday, December 7, 2 – 6pm
Sunday, December 8, 12 – 4pm
