Event Navigation

In this symposium commemorating the publication of the complete facsimile of Bruce Andrews and Charles Bernstein’s groundbreaking magazine, L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E, poets Bruce Andrews, Erica Hunt, Brian Kim Stefans, and Abigail Child will reflect on the histories and legacies of Language poetry, an experimental movement begun in the early 1970s that pushed back against American poetic conventions by deemphasizing personal narrative, focusing instead on the reader’s own engagement with the text.
Admission $10, $7 for students and seniors, free to Poets House members
