Scholar and poet Rosamond King shares her insights into the groundbreaking output of 20th-century Caribbean poets, including the works of Kamau Brathwaite and M. NourbeSe Philip.
Rosamond King is an artist, a performer, and a poet. Her poetry appears in her chapbook, At My Belly & At My Back (2009), and in numerous journals and anthologies. Her scholarly work appears recently in the book Sex and the Citizen: Interrogating the Caribbean (2011). She is the recipient of a Fullbright Fellowship and is currently a fellow in the Woodrow Wilson Career Enhancement Fellowship. A former professor at Long Island University, she is now Assistant Professor of English at Brooklyn College.
