ISO: FREEK4FREEK, formlessness and formal precision, wild and unrestrained poetics, derangement and mutation of language, obsession and desire, performance and performativity, abolitionist perspectives, fantastical futurities, a poetry of directness, a poetry with teeth. We will gather inspiration from writers, performers, activists, and thinkers including Ana Mendieta, David Wojnarowicz, Marina Abramović, Wendy Trevino, Cecilia Vicuña, Trish Salah, Cody-Rose Clevidence, and José Esteban Muñoz.

Andrea Abi-Karam is an arab-american genderqueer punk poet-performer cyborg and the author of the chapbook THE AFTERMATH and the book EXTRATRANSMISSION. Their second full-length collection, Villainy, was selected by Simone White for forthcoming publication.

This workshop is offered via Zoom, a free video conferencing app. Workshop registration includes free Zoom tutorial.
