A Reading with Mohammed Bennis, Bei Dao, Sharmistha Mohanty, Daouda Ndiaye, Nabaneeta Dev Sen, Anne Waldman, Orlando White, Zhai Yongming and Raúl Zurita.
Organized by Columbia University professors Lydia Liu and Anupama Rao, this symposium gathers international poets, translators, and scholars for discussions about the ways that poetry—language that arises from the lived experience of song and ritual incantation—binds us to the rich traditions embodied by the plurality of poetic speech around the world. Join us for two public programs featuring a diverse group of poets from around the world.
