Poetry in The Branches National Institute

After many years of working closely with our partners in the New York and Brooklyn public library systems Poets House now makes Poetry in The Branches services available to librarians nationwide.

Poetry in The Branches (PITB) creates a complete poetry environment in community libraries, through programming, writing workshops, book acquisition, display and librarian training. PITB is our fail-proof recipe for creating poetry services that work in any setting. Poets House is pleased to announce the first: Poetry in The Branches National Institute. A weekend of information and inspiration for librarians seeking to create a place for poetry in their libraries. The workshop will combine nuts-and-bolts information with hands-on experience writing and reading poetry.
