Poets House Presents is a series of 10 minute readings by poets that are live streamed on Twitter and posted on our ArchiveFacebookIGTV, and YouTube on Wednesdays and Fridays at noon.

Chen Chen reads from When I Grow Up I Want to Be a List of Further Possibilities (BOA Editions, 2017), GESUNDHEIT! (Glass Poetry Press, 2019), and Set the Garden on Fire (Porkbelly Press, 2015), all from his apartment in Waltham, MA. An excerpt from Set the Garden on Fire will be featured on the Poets House Poetry Path in Battery Park City.

Chen Chen is the author of When I Grow Up I Want to Be a List of Further Possibilities, which was longlisted for the National Book Award and won the Thom Gunn Award, among other honors. He is also the author of four chapbooks. He has received a Pushcart Prize and fellowships from Kundiman and the National Endowment for the Arts. He holds an MFA from Syracuse University and a PhD from Texas Tech University. He teaches at Brandeis University and co-runs the journal, Underblong. He lives in Waltham, MA with his partner, Jeff Gilbert and their pug, Mr. Rupert Giles.
