Online Program: Poets House Presents: Jake Skeets

Poet and educator Jake Skeets reads from his award winning Eyes Bottle Dark with a Mouthful of Flowers (Milkweed Editions), from his home in Tsaile, AZ.

Jake Skeets is the author of Eyes Bottle Dark with a Mouthful of Flowers, (Milkweed Editions, 2019) winner of the 2018 National Poetry Series. His other honors includes the 92Y Discovery Poetry Contest prize and a 2020 Whiting Award. Skeets edits an online publication called Cloudthroat and organizes a poetry salon and reading series called Pollentongue, based in the Southwest. He is Diné and teaches at Diné College in Tsaile, Arizona.
