Award winning poet, and editor, Tacey M. Atsitty reads from Rain Scald (University of New Mexico Press, 2018) and newer poems, from Kirtland, NM.
Her poems Sonnet for My Wrist first appeared in Crazyhorse (No. 83, Spring 2013), and Into Rain first appeared in Literary Hub (July 21, 2018).
Tacey M. Atsitty is Tsénahabiłnii (Sleep Rock People) and born for Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle People). Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in EPOCH, POETRY, Kenyon Review Online, Prairie Schooner, Poem-A-Day, Crazyhorse, At the Time of Light When the Sun was Subdued: A Norton Anthology, and other publications. Her first book is Rain Scald (University of New Mexico Press, 2018). She is a recipient of the Truman Capote Creative Writing Fellowship, the Corson-Browning Poetry Prize, Morning Star Creative Writing Award, and the Philip Freund Prize. Atsitty is the poetry editor for Eggtooth Editions and a board member for Lightscatter Press. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Cornell University and is currently a PhD student at Florida State University.
Poets House Presents is a series of 10 minute readings by poets that are posted on Twitter, Facebook, IGTV, and YouTube and our Archive, on Wednesdays and Fridays at noon.
