Seeing Anew: Writing as Revision

Carl Phillips has described revision as “a new way of seeing.” Whether we are writing new poems or revising drafts, we are always in a state of re-vision, re-seeing our poems through ourselves and the world and re-seeing ourselves and the world through our poems. In this six-session workshop, we explore different strategies for entering and re-visioning our work: from the word, to the line, to syntax, to the stanza, from the use of formal devices to the use of chance procedures. Be prepared to turn your work—and yourself–upside down.

Six Mondays  |  Mar 4 – Apr 8  |  6:30-8:30pm ET  |  $360 ($320 for Members)
