(Soma)tic Poetry Rituals, CAConrad at Prismatic Park

Between July 18 to July 23, poet CAConrad will be in the Prismatic Park to build personalized (Soma)tic poetry rituals, free and open to the public. He will also have daily talks on the occult and the (Soma)tic practice; please see schedule below.

Every living person is creative, but many people stop using their artistic skills when the routines of career, family and the many stresses of survival take hold of our lives. We will discuss how having an active, vibrant creative life keeps us innovative to enhance every decision we make and everything we do.

CAConrad has successfully used (Soma)tic poetry rituals to overcome depression after the murder of his boyfriend Earth (aka Mark Holmes). He has also created writing rituals using the night sky to design homemade star constellations, another ritual to experience what the impact of hearing the word “drone” has on the human body, and many others from talking with trees, ghosts, translating Shakespeare’s sonnets with crystals, and coping with the destroyed wilderness of our planet.

July 18

• 6-8pm OCCULT POETICS: We will discuss how occult and paranormal experiences and practices of poets in the past show us the way to trusting these same forces are also at work today.

July 19
• 12-5pm stop by to have CA build a personalized (Soma)tic poetry ritual with you, one suited to your life as it is, not as you wish it was.

• 6-8pm HEALING RITUALS: We will discuss the poetry rituals CA did to cure himself of depression after his boyfriend Earth’s murder. We will talk about how the healing properties of poetry and ritual are always available to all of us.

July 20
• 12-5pm stop by to have CA build a personalized (Soma)tic poetry ritual with you, one suited to your life as it is, not as you wish it was.

• 6-8pm ACTIVIST POETRY RITUALS: We will discuss the poetry rituals CA did which were also direct political actions. We will also talk about future ideas for new poetry ritual political actions.

July 21
• 12-5pm stop by to have CA build a personalized (Soma)tic poetry ritual with you, one suited to your life as it is, not as you wish it was.

• 6-8pm REIKI WRITING WORKSHOP: We will build a (Soma)tic poetry ritual, part of which involves CA dispensing Reiki to all participants while they are writing.

July 22
• 12-5pm stop by to have CA build a personalized (Soma)tic poetry ritual with you, one suited to your life as it is, not as you wish it was.

• 6-8pm CRYSTAL TREE WORKSHOP: We will create a (Soma)tic poetry ritual together which involves the use of various crystals to speak with trees in the park.

July 23
