The 17th Annual Poetry Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge
A Benefit for Poets House with Galway Kinnell and Others

Event Navigation

Join us for a very special “Bridgewalk” celebrating Poets House’s 25th Anniversary year.
Our annual poetic pilgrimage from City Hall to Fulton Ferry Landing across one of the world’s architectural treasures will feature readings by Marie Howe, Thomas Lux, Sharon Olds and 2012 Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy K. Smith, followed by a festive dinner at Bubby’s Brooklyn.
This year we are delighted to honor Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award-winning poet Galway Kinnell — who has been reading “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry” at each Bridgewalk since its inception — for his service to the art of poetry through a prize named for Poets House co-founder Elizabeth Kray.
All proceeds benefit Poets House. To purchase tickets on-line, click here. For more information or to make reservations by phone, call (212) 431-7920×2830 or e-mail krista@poetshouse.org
