Ellen Bass‘s poetry includes Like a Beggar, The Human Line, and Mules of Love. She coedited No More Masks!, the first major anthology of poetry by women and has coauthored non-fiction books, including The Courage to Heal. Her poetry has frequently been published in The New Yorker and The American Poetry Review, as well as many other journals. She teaches in the MFA program at Pacific University.
