You Heard Write!

Writing is listening. This six-week writing workshop with award-winning poet Keisha-Gaye Anderson will teach techniques for better listening and creating clearer channels for your intelligence to shine through. Participants will learn the basics of poetics and use a variety of prompts—including visual art and the natural world—to create poems that will be workshopped with the group.

This workshop takes place in-person and on Zoom, depending on your preference. Choose the ticket below that best suits your needs!

About the educator:

Keisha-Gaye Anderson is a Jamaican-born poet and visual artist. She is the author of the poetry collections Everything Is Necessary (Aquarius Press), the award-winning A Spell for Living, and Gathering the Waters (Jamii Publishing). Keisha is a past participant of VONA and Callaloo writing workshops, and was short listed for the Small Axe Literary award. She has been a Brooklyn Public Library Artist in Residence. Keisha holds an M.F.A. from The City College, CUNY.
