Poetry Path: Anne Waldman
Anne Waldman was born in Millville, New Jersey, in 1945. She is the author of over 40 books of poetry and a prominent figure in the Beat movement and the second generation of the New York School. She is most recently the author of Trickster Feminism (Penguin Books, 2018). Waldman was the recipient of the 2015 American Book Awards’ Lifetime Achievement Award, a 2013 Guggenheim Fellowship, and the 2012 PEN Center Literary Award in Poetry.
