Ross Gay, "A Small Needful Fact"


Ross Gay was born in 1974 in Youngstown, Ohio. He has written three collections of poetry, including Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2015), which won the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Kingsley Tufts Award. He most recently published a collection of essays, The Book of Delights (Algonquin Books, 2019). Gay teaches at Indiana University, and serves as an editor at chapbook presses Q avenue and Ledge Mule Press.
