Poets House will host the New York launch of Roberto Carlos Garcia's second collection of poems, black / Maybe (Willow Books, 2018).

black / Maybe was selected for publication by Willow Books Editor and award-winning poet and author, Randall Horton. The event will feature readings by Roberto Carlos Garcia, Anne Marie Macari, and other surprise guests. Books will be available for sale and a book signing, and wine reception will follow the reading.

Roberto's poetry and prose have appeared in The Root, Mosaic, Those People, Rigorous, Academy of American Poets Poem-A-Day, The New Engagement, Barrelhouse, Tuesday; An Art Project, The Acentos Review, Lunch Ticket, and many others.

He is founder of the coorperative press Get Fresh Books, LLC.

A native New Yorker, Roberto holds an MFA in Poetry and Poetry in Translation from Drew University.
