This week, Poets House rolls out Virtual Tiny Poets Time, a free video series featuring actor, children’s poet, and educator Charles Waters as he performs poems and poetic sing-alongs for young kids, from toddlers on up. Every day at 9am, for a few minutes, Charles offers his outsized talents in bite-sized, fun-for-all-ages portions.
We welcome you to watch Charles serve up classic reads like Good Night Moon, original dog manifestos, and musically-inclined (handy-clapping!) tips on the correct way to cough. And don’t miss the intro to the series starring cute barnyard animals and some snappy dance moves!
Charles Waters is co-author with Irene Latham of CAN I TOUCH YOUR HAIR? Poems of Race, Mistakes and Friendship (co-written with Irene Latham) and DICTIONARY FOR A BETTER WORLD: Poems, Quote and Anecdotes from A to Z.
We invite you to rewatch Virtual Tiny Poets videos and catch new ones as they are unveiled each morning.
